Playful Handmade Tile Bathroom Remodel

This bathroom was a hodge-podge of outdated materials, pieced together and complete with a gold-encrusted mirror on the ceiling. The client worked with Sexton Fix Design Build to design a layout that optimized the space and highlighted the handmade ceramic tiles that she created. The results were fantastic! Bold textures, designs and fixtures make this one of the most playful, dynamic bathrooms we've helped design and build to date!

Brilliantly Bold Bathroom Remodel

As shown in the before pictures, this bathroom was quite outdated. The shower vault was removed and opened up to create a glass-enclosed, Clé Tile shower that overlooks newly created window and the 700 pound, concrete bathtub. Custom floating shelving was created above the new toilet and bathtub. The vanity was custom made and was complemented by wall-mounted fixtures and a statement tiled wall that rises to the ceiling.

Clean and Hip Bathroom Remodel

This remodel was an original Albuquerque 50's style bathroom that was in desperate need of updating to match the cool, comfortable, and well-designed house. The bathroom was too small and poorly laid out for modern uses. There was also dim lighting and unattractive surfaces. Sexton F|D|B demolished the hall closet that was originally protruding into the bathroom and opened up the wall to create more space. We removed the old bathtub, toilet, and sink and relocated the sink to the opposite wall. We also designed and built a doorless walk-in shower with subway tile and custom built compartments within the shower. We installed a new tile floor, smoothed and painted the walls, and added can and vanity lights. We also installed a sliding barn door to add an additional resolve for spatial issues and finish off the cool, modern, and relaxed feeling of the bathroom.

Homey and Bright Bathroom Remodel

After 40 years of heavy use, the new owners of this home wanted to wipe the slate clean to match this bathroom to their personal style. The tub was rotting and shallow, the vanity was too short and clunky, and all the finishes were ugly and outdated! To achieve this, Sexton Fix, Design, Build removed all the old fixtures, tile, tub, flooring and vanity. A new, deep soaking tub was installed with modern tile, and Michael custom built the entire vanity based on what the owner's spatial needs and aesthetics were. The flooring, finishes, fixtures, and colors were all selected to provide a homey and bright feeling to an otherwise rotting bathroom. What a relief!

Retro Nob Hill Bathroom Remodel

This bathroom wasn't in too bad of shape, but the owners wanted to preserve some of the retro style of the bathroom while updating the look and creating more space and privacy from their neighbors. New tile and two custom niches as well as a bright wall color that the owners picked cheered up and modernized this bathroom. A new, higher window was installed to give more privacy and retro fixtures were installed to retain the funky, nob hill feeling in this bathroom.

Spa-Inspired Bathroom Remodel

This bathroom was outdated, poorly built and laid out, and lacked light, despite a beautiful window to the outdoors. Sexton Fix Design Build created a spa-like atmosphere with white-washed pine walls, a cedar ceiling, natural colors and materials in the large walk-in shower, and custom built wood shelving. To open up the space, the shower was extended, and the sink was minimized, highlighting the areas that needed to be larger and minimizing the ones that didn't matter as much. Lighting was added to create a subtle ambiance and natural feeling throughout. Ahhhh.

Fresh and Fun Bathroom Remodel

What a lovely bathroom transformation! This teenage girl's bathroom was outdated, very boxed in and cramped. We opened up some of the walls and replaced the closet with custom-built shelving to create a lighter, more open feeling. More lighting brightens the room and the tile follows a corner inset we built within the shower.
